Ministers of hospitality
Respect for others, discretion and appropriate decorum are hallmarks of an usher, special qualities that transcend age, which make this ministry appealing to all ages. Hospitality draws people together, invites them to participation and sets the tone for the liturgy, so ushers should be comfortable meeting and greeting people. They must always extend a sense of welcome and make others feel at home. Such qualities are blessings, and in their welcome and Christ-like attitude, ushers ensure that the assembly see and experience the love of Christ.
Jesus said, “Whoever receives you, receives me, and whoever receives me receives the One who sent me.” (Matthew 10:40)
